Abstract:

This research article aims to formulate protein powder as well as to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Nutraceuticals used in protein powder to promote health and prevention for disease. This study explores the development and characterization of a novel protein supplement formulated with karela (bitter melon) and jamoon (black plum) seed powders and some other ingredients like lotus seed, candy sugar, chana etc. Leveraging the nutritional and bioactive properties of these seeds, the research evaluates the protein content, tapped density, bulk density, angle of repose and functional properties of the composite powder. The findings suggest that incorporating karela and jamoon seed powders enhances the protein quality of the formulation, and presenting a promising natural alternative for functional protein supplementation with added health benefits.
